Who is Hussleboyfettii?

At 32 years old, Hussleboyfettii is a name to watch in the West Coast rap scene. Hailing from Los Angeles, Fettii’s journey into music was shaped by his environment, growing up in a family where music was a constant. “My whole family does music, so watching my uncles do their thing inspired me to give it a try,” he recalls. His early exposure to the music scene laid the foundation for his own path, though it wasn’t until he was 17 that he started taking it seriously—writing and recording his own tracks.

Music, however, wasn’t Fettii’s only option. If it weren’t for rap, he imagines he’d be playing football or still “in the field, trapping.” But the pull of music proved too strong. “My voice stood out to me during the recording process,” he explains. “I knew I sonically had something going.”

As a wordsmith, Fettii is protective of his lyrical abilities. “If I had to sacrifice one skill, the last thing I’d let go of is my way with words,” he says. “I can usually make things happen with what I say, so losing that would be tough.” This gift with words translates into his music, which is driven by a desire to create quality tracks that are authentic to his sound. “I’m just making dope music that sounds like Hussleboyfettii, with top-tier swag,” he adds.

Speaking of swag, Fettii’s fashion sense is as eclectic as his musical influences. While he doesn’t have a single fashion icon, he draws inspiration from some of the most stylish figures in the industry, such as A$AP Rocky, Big Sean, Tyga, The Migos, Future, and Kanye West.

When it comes to his career, Fettii’s vision is nothing short of ambitious. “To the top!” he says with confidence. His goal is to showcase that West Coast artists from LA can dress well, create unique sounds, and break free from the typical stereotypes. He wants to take his music beyond borders, making it international. And his style? It’s versatile. “I’m very versatile, so it’s not just one style—it’s all styles,” he says proudly, coining the term #FeTTiiWorld to define his sound.

Fettii’s creative process is unique. He often writes his music while driving, finding inspiration on the road. “Sometimes I might hit the studio and do punch-ins, but most of the time, I’m writing in my car,” he explains. His favorite project to date is For The City, a refreshing departure from the typical themes of violence and drugs that dominate the genre. “It’s like a breath of fresh air,” he says of the project, which reflects his desire to make music that stands apart from the crowd.

Looking ahead, Fettii only sees his sound getting better. With two mixtapes already prepared to drop after the For The City rollout, he promises his fans that these new projects “go CRAZY!” His evolving sound and commitment to growth will continue to set him apart in the industry.

What truly makes Fettii different from other rappers? He points to his West Coast roots and his distinctive sound and style. “Being from Los Angeles alone sets me apart,” he says. “The way I dress and the type of sound I create—it’s different.”

Fettii’s influences are wide-ranging, including heavyweights like Drake, Future, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, J. Cole, 50 Cent, and Lil Wayne. He draws from their success, but he’s clear that his goal is to carve his own lane. If given the chance to collaborate with anyone, his top pick would be Drake, his favorite artist and one of the reasons he’s in the game today.

With his eyes set on international success, an arsenal of unreleased music, and a sound that breaks the mold, Hussleboyfettii is on the rise, ready to take the industry by storm—on his own terms.
